The school staff are not qualified to dispense medicines, but are able to administer medicines prescribed by a doctor or some over the counter medicines .
If you have been advised by a Doctor that your child is not contagious and they are well enough to return to school, please ensure that the precise prescribed medication including the GP and contact details is sent to school with a completed ‘Medication Request Form’, found via the link below with clear instructions and hand this to the school office.
Please note that the Surrey County Council guidelines dictate that medicines should be provided in the original containers and that staff are not allowed to administer aspirin or medicine containing Ibuprofen unless it is prescribed.

If your child requires a special diet, please complete the Special Diet Request form and return it to the school office via your child's bookbag.
In order for your child to fully utilise their years in Education, it is vital that every message they receive reinforces the importance of school. It is the law that all pupils absent during the school day has to be authorised by the Headteacher. All holidays and routine dental and medical check-ups should be attended outside school hours or within the 13 weeks your child is not in school.
Medical Consultants and Orthodontist appointments are inflexible. Therefore if, despite your best efforts, your child’s appointment has to be in school session time, please attach a copy of the letter of appointment to a completed a ‘Pupil Absence Form’, and then return it to school. Mrs DeMorais will only make contact if further clarification is needed.
If you wish to request permission to take your child out of school for any other reason, a minimum of five working days notice needs to be given.
Please email the Headteacher at : firstname.lastname@example.org outlining the reason for the request of absence. A ‘Pupil Absence Form’ should be completed and email correspondence attached prior to handing the form to the office.
